Mr. L Nathan (Nate) Butler is President of COMIX35 and New Life Literature Asia/USA. He is one of the original founders of the organization and serves with a Board of four Directors currently. He is the main instructor at all COMIX35 seminars.
Mr. Butler made his living for more than 20 years as a cartoonist, commercial artist, and writer/illustrator of comics before going into full-time ministry in 1999. His former company The Nate Butler Studio, Inc. produced artwork for clients such as Jim Henson Productions, Weekly Reader, Children's Television Workshop, Consumer's Union, DC Comics, and King Features Syndicate, as well as script writing for Modern Publishing, Archie Comics, and Marvel Comics.
Mr. Butler has worked on over a dozen internationally known characters such as Archie & Jughead, The Muppets, Popeye, Barbie, Heathcliff, Bugs Bunny, Tiny Toons, Mighty Mouse, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Snuffy Smith, Animated Batman, The Jetsons, Berenstain Bears, Tom & Jerry, and more.
He was also editor/co-publisher/packager of Christian Comics & Games Magazine,
editor/publisher of Christian Comics Catalog, and he wrote and packaged the Aida-Zee Christian comics and magazines, the Truth For Youth comics, and the Brother Yun graphic novel. He created the Christian Comics International web site (the WWW's first and most complete site of its kind) which is now maintained as an additional ministry service of COMIX35.
Born in 1954, Born Again in 1979, Mr. Butler enjoys the blessings of a wonderful wife (Susan), two daughters (Carin and Christy), a son-in-law (Scott), and two grandsons (Michael and Matthew). He lives in New Mexico, USA.
